TEENAGE sports star Scott Dyson has taken the first step on the road to the top in rugby union.
Scott, a pupil at Parkside School, has been selected to train with the England Academy at Leeds, part of the game's elite players' development centres programme.
The 14-year-old from Haworth is an all-round sportsman having represented Bradford Boys at soccer and also plays golf at Branshaw Golf Club. He also plays cricket for Haworth where he captained the Under-14s and also played in the cup winning Under-18 team.
He has played rugby union with the Keighlians club since he was seven years of age and was a member of the Yorkshire Divisional Under-13 team. He was selected for the England Academy, which is run by Leeds Tykes, following a recent screening day at Huddersfield.
