Police have questioned a 12-year-old boy in connection with a spate of bus attacks on a Bradford estate.
The youngster was arrested after 14 buses were damaged in incidents along Saffron Drive, in Allerton, after being pelted with bricks by gangs of youths.
Some 18 double-glazed windows, costing £500 each, were smashed as drivers were showered with debris.
The boy has now been bailed pending further inquiries but Bradford North Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward and identify those responsible.
Passenger Ted Harris had to be rushed to Bradford Royal Infirmary after a brick, thrown at the First bus he was travelling on in Allerton, smashed through a window, hitting him on the head. The 65-year-old said he now fears for his safety on an estate he has lived in for 30 years.
The self-employed book-keeper said his £1,000 hearing aid is now useless after being hit by the brick.
"I would not have got on the bus if I had known what danger we were heading for. If I had been hit in the face, I'd have been blinded and I dread to think what could have happened if a child or elderly person had been hit.
"I've lived in Allerton for many years and trouble does flare up from time to time but now it is just getting to be too much. Something has to be done.
"I'm going to see my doctor because my hearing has got gradually worse since the incident. I am also going to go for an eye test.
"The youngsters involved were very young, some only looked about five years old. It's absolutely shocking."
Bradford bus company First's operational director, Khadim Hussain, said the buses had been repaired at a cost of £9,000 and were all back on the road again.
"There have been no further incidents taking place since the attacks.
"First is very pleased to know that Mr Harris is back at home recovering and is okay."
Mr Hussain added that the 617 and 618 bus services, which run between Bradford Interchange and Allerton, would not be diverted because he said they provide a vital service for elderly people who live in Saffron Drive.
Witnesses or anyone with information regarding the attacks should Bradford North Police on 0845 6060606.
