Manningham is set to receive a boost to its economy.

Bradford Property Exchange Ltd has acquired and refurbished a former chartered accountants office in Manningham Lane - turning it into a new business centre.

The 19th Century building, which was originally two 8-bedroom terraced houses, has been used as offices for the past 30 years.

The property is now called York House Business Centre.

Shahid Chowdhury, managing director of the Property Exchange, said: "York House will provide 22 quality office suites, aimed at the smaller business. The building has a reception and receptionist, a digital phone system and has been pre-wired for broadband internet services.

"Many small businesses and sole traders need low cost office space with facilities such as meeting rooms and car parking. York House will be able to provide an all-inclusive package that will cater for their needs."

The project, which has been sponsored by the Manningham and Girlington SRB, will create three jobs and provide office space for up to 20 businesses.
