A group of Bradford Kashmiris has organised a demonstration for Sunday to complain about a bank nationlisation by the Pakistan Government. One of the organisers, Mr Asif Hussain, said that Co-operative Banks of Azad Kashmir had been nationalised in January. Since then staff had been locked out and account holders had not been able to withdraw money, he claimed.

"We want a City Council composed of public spirited business men who run their businesses successfully to tackle the job of running the city in the same way," Bradford Moor shopkeepers were told by Mr John F. Rhodes, president of the Bradford Rotary Club, at a meeting convened by Bradford Moor Conservative and National Liberal Association last night. Mr Rhodes declared that thousands of pounds was spent by people who had no idea of money.
