Brittle bone disease sufferer Hayley Finch has been dealt another blow with news she will not be able to attend Stuart McCall's Bradford City testimonial match.
The Telegraph & Argus reported earlier this month how the 12-year-old City fan had been hospitalised after breaking her leg in a fall at school.
The setback left Hayley, of Shipley, waiting for an operation in which a steel rod will be inserted into her leg to keep it straight.
When City's new signing, Michael Standing, visited her, he gave Hayley a bag full of goodies including a letter entitling her to a pair of tickets for Stuart McCall's testimonial game against Glasgow Rangers on Sunday.
But Hayley has now been told her operation is scheduled for Friday, meaning she will not be able to go to the match. Her mother Carol said: "Hayley will have to stay in hospital for a week to ten days after the op."
Stuart McCall said: "Everyone at the club wishes here all the best for a quick recovery and I'll be sending her a signed photo.''
