An animal charity has urged people to take care when lighting bonfires after a hedgehog was rescued from a blaze.
Hedgehog Care, based in Wibsey and Bingley, is looking after several animals which have suffered serious injury recently months, including Denzo, who was rescued from the jaws of a rat as a baby and who has just been released back into the wild.
Centre spokesman, Denise Dine, said: "We just want people to be made aware that there are hedgehogs out there, often out of view.''
Anyone wishing to contact the centre should call (01274) 770687 or (01274) 673959.
