Stuart McCall will be making a significant donation to the Bradford Burns Unit from his testimonial on Sunday.
A section of the proceeds from the game between City and Rangers select teams will also go to two other charities.
McCall said: "Obviously I have never forgotten what happened on May 11, 1985. It was a nightmare for everyone who was caught up in it and I've always tried to help where I can.
"And there has also been a tremendous gesture from the majority of gate men, stewards and people working at the club on Sunday who are giving up their time and donating their money to the burns unit."
John Hendrie today confirmed he will be able to play for the Bantams team after getting out of play-off TV duties.
And McCall, who has been organising the event, admitted: "It is starting to sink in and I am getting emotional about it. There will be a lot of great players and great friends there and it's going to be very special for me in front of all those fans."
Tickets are still available at £10 for adults and £5 concessions. Fans are advised to buy them in advance from the ground.
