Yeadon felt the full might of Pudsey Congs bowlers Naveed Rana Ul-Hassan and Neil Gill as they were shot out for 90 on the opening day of the season.
Yeadon are hoping to improve their Division One position this season but they were shown just how difficult it will be to break into the top four.
Congs were setting off in search of their third successive league championship win led by the astute Matthew Doidge. It is a hat-trick not achieved for 35 years but on this form one they look well capable of achieving.
Yeadon were never allowed to settle as Ul Hassan amd Gill got to work. Yeadon failed to deal with the pace and swing and wickets tumbled with only Damon Gormley showing any real resistance.
Doidge put Yeadon in to bat and within three overs the first wicket had fallen. Ul Hassan's devastating pace put paid to Neil Elvidge on his return to the Yeadon side. The Scarborough left hander departed when a swinging delivery removed his off stump before he had scored.
Former Congs player Damien Shanahan, now Yeadon's overseas player, soon followed being lbw in the same over. Yeadon were 2-2 without a run from the bat. Gill was kept waiting for his breakthrough until his fifth over but it was a rather dubious lbw against Waseem Munawar that gave him his opening wicket.
Off the next ball Yeadon were in real trouble at 4-10 with Jonny Henry bowled by a Gill yorker.
Yeadon skipper Craig Thornton played and missed at the hat-trick ball and then helped to steady the ship along with Gormley. It was Gormley who played the first real stroke of the day in the 12th over when he cut Gill for four and he added two further boundaries in a 37 run partnership with Thornton before wickets started to fall again.
Thornton nicked a Gill inswinger to wicketkeeper Gary Brook departing for 15 and in the next over Grant Soames completed a miserable day for him by falling lbw to Ul Hassan. Earlier he had written his car off.
Gormley became Gill's fourth victim being bowled for 36 and at 83-7 things looked bleak for Yeadon.
Yorkshire Schools player James Todd was beaten by Gill's swing and fell for a battling 21 but the tail offered no resistance as Tony Gilks, Paul Hebden and John Roper failed to muster a run between them and Yeadon finished on 90 all out.
Gill took the honours with 6-27 off 17 overs while Ul Hassan made a good start with 4-58.
Congs knocked off the runs without loss as young Yorkshire prospect Vic Craven made 60 not out and Andy Bethel 26 not out.
Yeadon may have been rattled by this start but they will not remain shaken for long and will be looking to rebuild their reputation with a home game against Farsley on Saturday.

Magnificent seven for Machell
A magnificent bowling performance from former Yorkshire Schools opening bowler Richard Machell set Yeadon Seconds up for a nine wickets win over Windhill on the opening day of the season.
Machell took 7-13 as Windhill crashed out for 51 at the Dam Lane ground.
As Yeadon knocked off the runs skipper Andrew Pickering made an unbeaten 34 with David Machell, rfeturning to the game, making nine before veteran Les Wood helped see them thgrough by nine wickets.
It had been a hectic week for Richard Machell as he had played soccer virtually every day.
