Otliensians XV 45
HSBC ( London ) 7
On Sunday an Otliensians XV entertained a touring team from HSBC , London , thanks to local contact Chris Bowman who also played for the visitors.
HSBC were soon on the attack but with injuries from the Saturday game they had a number of forwards playing in the threequarters.
The speed of the home side soon began to tell and wing Jamie Pinguenet broke through to score. A promising attack by HSBC broke down deep in the Otliensians' half and Mattie Tenniswood pounced on the ball and outsprinted the opposition to score and convert.
The visitors hit back with some good driving forward play and eventually shredded the home side defence to score a converted try.
However, Otliensians moved the ball intelligently and Adi Fawell scored a hat-trick of tries and conversions in rapid succession to give the home side a 33-7 lead at the interval.
The second-half saw some changes with Otliensians providing some substitutes for the visitors who were unable to score any further tries despite running the ball from any position.
Mattie Tenniswood scored two further tries to complete his hat-trick and converted one to give Otliensians a comprehensive 45-7 win.
