A Bradford women's rugby league star has been helping children at Lidget Green Primary School get to grips with rugby skills.
Chantel Patrick, pictured, who scored a hat-trick for Bradford Thunderbirds in their Challenge Cup victory, has been holding a series of training sessions at the school in Birk Fold.
Carla Mawson, PE co-ordinator at the school, said the sessions proved popular with boys and girls alike.
"They were quite surprised to see a woman turn up to coach them, and when she said she'd played for Great Britain it was great, she's a wonderful role model," she said.
As well as getting the children interested in rugby, Carla says the scheme is a great form of exercise.
Ikram Butt, Bradford Rugby League Development Officer, said the training scheme was a great way to ignite children's interest in sport. "Sport is a vehicle to assist the young children, diverting them from other activities they may get involved with," he said.
