Silsden Formula One stock car racer Frankie Wainman Jnr is out to gain revenge over rival Andy Smith at Sheffield's Owlerton Stadium on Sunday.
The two last clashed over Easter, when the Silsden driver claims he was twice "taken out" by shunts from Smith.
Wainman, who aims to add to his national points tally on his home circuit, said: "Andy tried to get an early psychological advantage over me by trying to wreck my car at Sheffield.
"It hasn't worked. What goes round comes round and if I was Smith I would be a bit nervous if he sees me behind him on Sunday."
Wainman won the final at Birmingham on Saturday, overtaking Mark Taylor with four laps to go to climb back to the top of the points table.
But he had to be content with runner-up spot in the grand national, behind world champion Rob Speak.
On Sunday, Wainman was again in action, at Kings Lynn, where he had to wait until the last race of the afternoon - the grand national - to record a win.
He had finished sixth in his heat and failed to finish the final after colliding with Speak.

However, towards the end of the day fuel pump failure halted their progress. Despite frantic attempts to trace the problem the pair were forced to retire.
