A teacher accused of setting fire to her school has been ordered not to enter any Bradford schools without the prior permission of head teachers.
Amina Ditta, pictured, appeared at Bradford Magistrates' Court today, charged with one count of arson at Atlas Primary School in Lincoln Close, Manningham.
A huddle of reporters from newspapers and television companies squeezed into the press bench in court one to hear the case against Ditta, of Scholemoor Road, Scholemoor, Bradford.
The 23-year-old teacher, who wore glasses and was dressed in a white Hijab, black cardigan and long blue dress and Shalwar trousers, was escorted into the court by her barrister Narinder Sekhon.
The charge relates to a fire in a temporary classroom at the school which occurred on Wednesday, April 24.
The slightly-built teacher spoke in a whisper only to confirm her name, age, and address before the prosecution asked for the case to be adjourned for further inquiries to be carried out. She stood expressionless in the dock as District Judge Michael Wood (Magistrates) ordered her to live and sleep at her home address during the ten-minute-long hearing.
He also made the condition that she must not enter any local education authority premises except by prior arrangement with the head teachers.
Her legal team offered no objections to the extended bail conditions.
She is due to re-appear at the same court on Wednesday, June 12.
Reporting restrictions were not lifted.
