Castleford's Graham Steadman is looking for a golden hour from his team when they face the Bulls tomorrow night at The Jungle.
The Tigers coach, who will be picking from a full-strength squad for the Super League clash, said: "If we can be in contention after an hour then we have every chance of picking up the two points.
"And I hope we can capitalise on the Bulls conceding early tries - mind you, we have been doing that ourselves!"
Castleford, who lost the corresponding early May clash 24-22 last season, are outside the top six at the moment.
They have won only two and drawn one of their first seven matches, and Steadman describes their form as "very, very indifferent for a number of different reasons".
But he continued: "We have no excuses tomorrow night because we have had a week off to prepare, and time to have got our Challenge Cup semi-final defeat against Wigan out of our system."
Steadman, who is assistant to Bulls coach Brian Noble in the Yorkshire set-up, admitted he was full of admiration for the Bulls.
"They are a quality side from one to 17 - strong in midfield and James Lowes is excellent around the ruck.
"The Bulls also have awareness and vision with Paul Deacon on the left and Brandon Costin on the right. Robbie Paul will be in there, and we shouldn't forget Leon Pryce at full back.
"The forwards are strong too, and the Bulls have a quality bench with Paul Anderson and Stuart Fielden as big impact players."
Although Steadman and Noble have only had a preliminary meeting about their Yorkshire duties, the Tigers supremo knows Noble the coach only too well from their weeks together with Great Britain for the Ashes Series at the end of last season.
"Brian is not one for being over-critical of his players in public, and I like that," said Steadman.
"If anyone needs a telling off, he does it in-house, and his man-management skills are very good.
"He has learned well under his mentors at the Bulls and has introduced greater width to the side, which I am sure the players there have welcomed."
The Tigers' outstanding half-back Danny Orr, forward Wayne Bartrim and winger Jon Wells are all poised to return after injury face the Bulls.
The Bulls under-17s side meet Leeds tonight in a friendly at Odsal (7.30pm). Admission is free.
