Bradford Bulls prop Paul Anderson will have an extra surge of adrenalin when he steps on to the field tonight at The Jungle against Castleford Tigers.
For the 31-year-old will be playing against his home-town club, although he has never featured for the Tigers.
The 6ft 2in, 20st 1lb giant was signed from Castleford amateur club Redhill, but has played professionally for Leeds and Halifax prior to joining the Bulls in March, 1997.
"The games mean a lot to me as I watched Castleford when I was a lad, and I have some fond memories from that period.
"I always look forward to the games against Castleford, though we always seem to struggle.
"They are a lot better side than their position in the table suggests.
"And we always seem to have very entertaining games against them."
Added Anderson: "But it is business now - I play for the Bulls and a win is all that matters tonight."
It is a view that is echoed by Bulls coach Brian Noble, who has included three of Monday's absentees Lesley Vainikolo (thigh) and Robbie Paul and Daniel Gartner (ribs) in a squad of 20.
Noble said: "They will be well pumped up for this game. They were very disappointed with what they came up with against Hull after they had really turned the screw at Salford, scoring 70 points.
"Maybe a little complacency crept in, but they are a quality outfit
"And they have two very good players in Wayne Bartrim and Danny Orr coming back into the side.
"They are pivotal players and their return will give the team a big lift.
"They played very well against Wigan in the Challenge Cup semi-final and we know we are in for a rough ride down at The Jungle.
"We know we have to be at our best and play well to get the result.
"We need to keep improving, and that has been our focus this week.
"I was very happy with the last 60 minutes of the game against Salford.
"We were patient and found some great last plays, and in the end we were worthy winners.
"We will have to be patient again, and if we are and we play well, then we certainly have a good chance of coming away with the points.
