The Bulls will change their pre-match warm-up tonight at Castleford in a bid to avoid leaking early points.

"We want to spark it up a bit . . . make it a bit more intense to try and prevent those errors," said Bulls' assistant coach Darrel Shelford. "We feel we might have been a bit lackadaisical in the past."

The Bulls have conceded the opening two tries in three of their last six Super League games - at home to Hull and Salford, and at Widnes

And while they have recovered to win all three games, the World Club and Super League champions realise they might not be able to give such gifts tonight at The Jungle.

Bulls' skipper Robbie Paul reinforced this by saying: "If we do, not only could Castleford hold on, but they could run away with the game."

He reflected: "The tries that teams seem to be scoring against us early are coming from kicks and from our mistakes.

"Very rarely are sides creating the tries that are scored against us early on.

"But we have been addressing those slow starts this week and we believe we have dealt with it by changing our pre-match warm-up and by focusing better and on different things." Bulls coach Brian Noble said: "We have talked about this as a team, but I don't there is too much drastically wrong.

"There have been a couple of decent ricochets for the opposition, but it is just the concentration element as far as we are concerned.

"I am pretty confident we will get back on track and going the way we want to go."

While the Bulls have only lost once before to the Tigers in Super League, Paul warned: "You have to go to grounds like theirs properly prepared and with the right mind-set because Castleford are very dangerous there - they can beat any team."

Noble said: "Tigers have been inconsistent this season - they have either been beaten badly or won handsomely - but I cannot remember ever going to Castleford and not having a tough game.

"We will probably find they are a middle-of-the-road team against us with some key players back such as Danny Orr and Wayne Bartrim.

"We were out on our feet when we won there 24-22 last season on the first weekend in May.

"It was our third game in eight days and we had run out of petrol with 25 minutes to go, so that was a win for desire as much as anything else.

"Although we have played three matches less than at this stage last season, tonight will be our second game in five days, but we have practised well this week and I am pretty confident we are in good shape mentally and physically."

Noble confirmed that Paul, Lesley Vainikolo and Daniel Gartner would all feature tonight, although there was a question mark over Brandon Costin because of sickness.
