Lees Primary School is to have one less for lunch now that a cook has left.
Dinner lady Maureen Gruszczynska is leaving the school after nine years service in the kitchen.
But cooking was not the only talent that Maureen brought to the school. She also spent time in the classrooms, helping children with their work and listening to their reading.
Maureen is leaving to work at Oldfield Primary School, where she will be in charge of a kitchen. But she says she will still miss Lees Primary.
She said: "I am sad to be leaving, it's a lovely school. You get to know many of the children and teachers."
Maureen was presented with gardening vouchers and a bouquet of flowers at assembly, to thank her for her time at the school.
She is pictured receiving leaving gifts from pupils James Bailey, 11, front, and Arley Barnes, 10
