Pupils had a pharaoh time at Lees Primary School.
Year Five -- nine and ten-year-olds -- dressed up and enjoyed an Egyptian banquet as part of their studies on the history of ancient Egypt.
Teacher Liz Hustwick said: "The banquet is of food that the Egyptians would have had, such as figs, dates, cheese and lettuce."
A museum trip is also planned for the pupils.
The class made their own outfits and also re-enacted the process of mummification.
