Discworld comes to Skipton this month in a stage adaptation of a novel by best-selling fantasy writer Terry Pratchett.
Maskerade is a comedy starring Pratchett's popular creations, the madcap witches Granny Weatherwax and Granny Ogg.
Skipton Little Theatre's play, partly a spoof on Phantom of the Opera, is set in an opera house where a ghost is creating havoc for the performers.
Theatre spokesman Abigail Ford says the play is laced with Pratchett's customary wit as well as his skill for creating intricate plots. "Audiences can expect to see a bilingual glutton, an introverted odd-job man and an ex-cheese manufacturer alongside an air-headed bimbo and a bossy foreigner."
Maskerade is presented on May 7-11. Book on 01756 791552 (evenings).
