Keighley grabbed a six-wicket win at Bowling Old Lane to take their place among the early front runners in the table.
Captain Richard Robinson took 4-29 as Old Lane were restricted to 142-9.
Although they got the Lawkholme side off to a bright start both openers lost their wickets with the total in the 20s before Stuart Ratcliffe set a firm foundation for the innings. He scored 38 and together with Australian Joel Crouch (34) took the total on to 81 for the loss of the third wicket.
Robinson showed his experience and made sure he was at the wicket to see the team to victory with time to spare.
The Keighley 2nd XI struggled on apoor wicket at Bowling Old lane, and were dismissed for just 39 with H Younis taking five wickets for 18 runs.
Keighley not not find anyone to do similar damage as the home side secured a nine-wicket win.
n This weekend the 1st XI is in Prietley Cup action, with the competition starting on a Saturday for the first time. They are at home to Manningham Mills with the game scheduled to continue on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday if the weather prevents them reaching a result.
The competition will bring the Keighley team up against former colleague Gulsheraz Ahmed who is now playing with the Mills side.
The second team travel to Manningham Mills in the Priestley Shield competition.
