Bradford Park Avenue 1, Whitby Town 1: Jason Maxwell struck in the dying seconds of a long season last night to grab Avenue a point against Whitby Town.
Maxwell rose majestically in the 94th minute to nod in a perfect Andy Quinn cross to level the scores.
But up to then, Avenue had struggled through their 58th game of the season.
Whitby must have thought they had won the game when they struck in the 88th minute, but hadn't bargained for Avenue's late, late show.
But Dean Calcutt must be ruing his decision to miss last night's Westlife concert.
Avenue's tricky winger had to give up his ticket to take part in the rescheduled UniBond finale, but failed to liven up the game.
Obviously feeling the mental and physical effects of Tuesday night's cup final drama, Avenue couldn't put any flowing football together.
The draw, which featured two late goals, ensured a more than satisfactory tenth place in a difficult first season in the UniBond Premier.
There was little to shout about until the 88th minute, with the highlight being an unrepresentative seven bookings and a mini pitch invasion by veteran midfielder Wayne Benn's young son.
"There isn't a lot you can say about that game," said a tired-looking Trevor Storton.
"The lads were obviously suffering a bit from Tuesday but I am pleased that we avoided the loss.
Storton will be jetting off to the Canary Islands for a summer break before it all starts again in July, and will take him with him few memories from this match.
Whitby probably just edged it on possession as they settled into an aggressive style of play, clearly still feeling the pain of a 5-0 defeat in the league cup back in January.
They failed to create any clear chances, while Avenue were even less effective.
None of the players seemed to be able to settle, with the first shot on target from the home side coming from a soft Dean Martin header in the 42nd minute.
On the stroke of half-time Avenue nearly took the lead when diminutive skipper Mark Hancock glanced a header wide after Andy Hayward had whipped in a delicious cross.
Apart from more yellow cards nothing really happened again until the 88th minute when Hancock brought down the bulky Danny Wood.
Veteran David Logan blasted in a perfect free-kick from 25 yards to give the visitors a deserved lead.
But fittingly with the last Avenue touch of season, Jason Maxwell rose like the proverbial salmon in the 94th minute to head in a Andy Quinn's fine cross.
