Timothy Taylor transport manager Paul Marklew briefs draymen Geoff Selby and Phil Kay just before they set off for Germany to deliver a special consignment of beer specifically requested by the Duke of Wellington Regiment.
In a weekend highlight of the Dukes' tercentenary celebrations, the regiment was presented with new Regulation and Honorary Colours at the 1st Battalion's base in Osnabruck.
The presentation was followed by a tercentenary dinner.
The consignment included a few barrels of Havercake Ale, which was specially brewed by Timothy Taylor for the Dukes' 300th anniversary.
The Knowle Spring, Keighley, brewery has long standing links with the West Riding regiment -- indeed Geoff Selby served as a sergeant with the regiment, while Phil Kay has a son currently serving with the 1st Battalion in Germany.
