Keighley Tarn was awash with boats on Sunday when the Keighley Model Engineering Society held its annual regatta.
Hundreds of people visited the tarn throughout the day, many with the aid of the vintage buses which were laid on to take them up the hill to see the event as part of the Keighley Festival celebrations.
Once there, they were treated to the spectacle of around 50 model boats, from racing powerboats to yachts and even tugs, just messing about on the water.
Between 10am and 5pm there were various displays by the boatmen of their skill at handling the remote controlled craft in some extremely testing conditions.
John Barraclough, marine secretary of the society said: "We were hampered by the weather, it was very windy.
"But there were hundreds of people who visited and we had a really good time."
Mr Barraclough was also pleased to see that many young people had turned up to see the regatta and said that he would like to encourage even more to take up the hobby.
He added: "One of the most encouraging things was that we had a lot of children.
"There was one young man who was 12 years old and they couldn't get him to go home, he wanted to stay on and help us with the boats. He was brilliant.
"So many of them have nothing to do so we are trying to get more juniors involved. It is a harmless pastime."
