Pensioner Edna McMann was sure of a big surprise on her birthday last week.
The helper from East Morton School, who has been off for a few months due to illness, was invited to the school to look around its new facilities.
But when she arrived, Edna, who was celebrating her 80th birthday, had no idea that the real reason she was there was because the school had organised a surprise party for her.
And after the Better Reading partner had enjoyed a picnic lunch she sat down to watch the children perform a concert with singing and dancing that had been specially prepared for her birthday.
