Keighley made good progress in the Bradford District Scratch League's top division on Friday, with an excellent 6-2 home win over Northcliffe.
They are now six points clear of bottom team Woodhall Hills, who lost 2-6 at home to top of the table West Bradford, and are level on points with Ghyll, who were whitewashed at home by new joint leaders Bradford Moor.
In the second division, Baildon are seven points clear at the top, while Headley are already looking favourites for relegation.
Silsden moved up the third division table with an 8-0 win over visitors Skipton, but Riddlesden are eight points adrift at the bottom - although they have a match in hand over the two teams above them.
Branshaw consolidated their lead at the top of the fourth division with four points at bottom club Phoenix Park, and are a comfortable 13 points ahead of Ben Rhydding and Fulneck.

Bingley St Ives - Brenda Clarkson shot a nett 67 to win her qualifying round and join the race for a place in the final of the AEG Ladies National Amateur Tournament. She now waits until late August to see if she has earned a place in the Grand Final at Sun International's Wild Coast golf resort in South Africa in September. Keighley - The Scratch Team had a good 6-2 home win over Northcliffe on Friday. Andy Utley won his match with the last putt on the last green, Michael Chapman and Ian Houldsworth both won their matches but Russell Newton came up against an opponent on top form and lost his match.
On the same evening the 8-15 team gained a valuable 4 points against Cleckheaton away to keep them in contention for the league title. The team consisted of Steve Smith, Simon Tabel, Randy Sarah and late replacement Stewart Shackleton, who recorded the only win.
The June Medal saw some blistering scores. In the third division a new member, G Greenwood, saw his handicap slashed by four strokes from 23 to 19 after scoring a net 11 under par 58. 1st Division: 1 N Northrop 72-5-67, 2 A Utley 71-2-69; 2nd Division: 1 P Ward 77-12-65, 2 D Gunning 78-12-66; 3rd Division: 1 G Greenwood 81-23-58, 2 J Whitmarsh 87-23-64.
Sunday was the 0-15 Open Day. It would appear that a Keighley-Branshaw combination is a winning one as these pairs took three of the top four prizes. 1 T Rowan (Keighley) & J Head (Branshaw) 63, 2 D Plumb (Keighley) & S Buckley (Branshaw) 63, 3 M Harrison (Keighley) & R Newton (Keighley) 63.
The Ladies Section played the Professional's Prize along with the LGU Medal 6 on Tuesday. The overall winner was Lisa Murray with a net 68. The Silver Division winner was Dorothy Dale with a net 72, and the Bronze Division winner was Elaine Pickles with a net 69.
