STEPHEN DENNY has been called up to represent England at an international tournament in Saudi Arabia.
The 15-year-old from Eldwick, is a member of the Oakbank Tabble Tennis Club, and trains with the Bradford Table Tennis Development Squad, based in Keighley.
"It is a remarkable achievement for Stephen and a great reward for all his hard work over th years," said coach Hans Soova.
Stephen will fly out to the Saudi captial, Riyadh, for the Under-21 International Open which takes place from July 17-22.
He recently returned from Slovakia where he competed in the World Junior Championships and also won a silver medal at the English National School Championships and has also attened England training camps.
Coach Sally Shutt has also gained international recognition and has been invited to travel with the English Junbior Team to the Hungarian Junior Open Championships.
She started trainign with the development scheme as an 11-year-old and had progressed from being a top-class player through to coaching a new generation of sporting stars.
Nine-yearold Mary Fuller from Stanbury recently reached the semi-finals of the National Under-10s Championship before losing to the eventual winner.
Rebecca Singh, 11, has been selected in the Top-10 Squad in the England Under-12 age group and will take part in specialist training camps this summer.
"The success of the young players shows the amount of talent we have within the City Table Tennis Development Squad," Hans Soova said.
