ADAM Oldfield will captain Skipton RFC next season in succession to Declan Hayes, who has been at the helm for the past two seasons.
Oldfield preceded Hayes as captain and at that time became the youngest in the club's history. Now he faces the challenge of maintaining the momentum achieved in the past three seasons and the air of optimism generated by a knockout run last season.
The recent annual meeting also installed John Sharp as second team captain and joint coach Andrew Guest as the new Chairman of Rugby.
Andrew Clark hands on the secretary duties to Mark Botham, while Ken Holmes takes over as treasurer from Jane Wilman.
Mel Mason continues as chairman, but will have new blood on the committee in the shape of Andy Philip, Matt Jones and Mark Davison, the latter taking over the duties of groundsman from David Swinglehurst.
"No decisions have been made at this stage about guest players from overseas, but we have irons in the fire," says Mason.
