Little Jordan Stephens almost missed out on a birthday treat - until he had his cake and ate it.
Jordan, pictured, of Shipley, who celebrated his fifth birthday, suffers from life-threatening food allergies. If he even touches an egg white, his hand can swell up to twice its normal size.
His mum Bernadette Cahill appealed in the Telegraph & Argus for help in tracking down a special cake for the brave youngster - and her plea was answered by a bakery in Wibsey.
Mrs Cahill said: "The cake was absolutely lovely. Jordan is allergic to milk, eggs and soya but this cake has been made with pure margarine and goat's milk."
Richard Brotherton, of Brotherton's Continental Bakery in Wibsey, said he was delighted to help.
"Bakery manager Ken Allen and I saw the article in the T&A. We already make egg-free cakes and yeast and dairy-free bread so we got in touch with the family. We make buns for them every week but this is the first cake we've done for them."
Jordan's party was celebrated at the Halfway House pub in Baildon.
