HALL Park and Otley continue their battle for promotion both recording wins on Saturday.

The New South Wales batsman Matthew Elliott hamered 108 for Hall Park and Richard Allinson contributed an unbeaten 61 as their side totalled 219 for seven against Kirkstall. There was also a solid contribution of 32 from Richard Simpson. Despite Matthew Hall's 82 Kirkstall were put out for 197 as Allinson took three for 61 and Robert Murphy (3-74).

Otley continued their improved form with a nine wickets win over Bardsey. Robert Atkinson had a magnificent game taking six for 25 in ten overs as Bardsey fell for 113 and then hitting an unbeaten 70 from the number three spot. He was well backed up in the bowling department by James Davies who took two for 14 off 11 economical overs.

After losing the early wicket of David Brady for five Atkinson found an ally in Paul Machell who stroked an unbeaten 23.

Knaresborough moved up into third place after their six wicket win over Calverley who have now gone four games without registering a win.

Calverley were restricted to 154 for seven as R Proctor took four for 52. Ben Quick (40) and Stuart Carey (39) steered Knaresborough to victory with Jonathan Corcoran providing the final flourish with an unbeaten 36.

Ilkley made 220 against visitors Skipton who are having a torrid time of it languishing at the bottom of the table.

There were half-centuries for Anthony Cadman and Mark Luffman while Harvey Watson made 35 as Ilkley rattled up the runs despite a five for 74 return from W Deerness .

Skipton were dismissed for 152 in reply as Richard Simpson returned four for 39 and David Jayes (4-15).

Pool's 145 for nine proved too big a target for Illingworth who were dismissed for 127 in reply with Philip Dibb taking five for 37. Pool's runs came mainly from the bat of G Squires (47) and David Singleton (33).

Silsden stuttered to a two wickets win over Tong Park who had made 153 all out in the face of some good bowling from Mark Akrigg who returned five for 56.

Steve Young top scored for Park with 48 and Brendan Ryan made 31. Mick Scott tried hard to stem the flow with a three for 41 return as Silsden got home.
