Robert Molenaar wants to silence the whispering campaign with some good news about City's future.
The big Dutchman admitted the training ground is rife with rumours while the uncertainty hovers over Valley Parade.
Molenaar said: "Most of the signs are positive but you want something definite that you can work towards and at the moment there isn't any. Until the creditors decide whether to accept their offer, it can still go either way.
"Obviously there are lots of rumours going round and you hear things that might produce an emotional reaction that won't do anybody any good.
"The only thing that players want to have on their minds is football but there are a lot of other things taking over, which have nothing to do with it.
"You can feel in the group, there are a lot of bad conversations, wrong conversations. The talk should be all about football but it is not."
The players must wait until the creditors' meeting on Thursday, August 1 before finding out if they will be reinstated - and paid by the club for the first time since April.
Molenaar added: "The PFA are very willing to help the club out but the creditors will have the final say. And while we are all hopeful, it's all based on expectations and nothing on hard evidence.
"A lot of players are still worried about what is going to happen.
"The sooner we are told something definite the better and then we can close
the book on this horrible chapter."
