White and Asian children from Keighley will be brought together for fun days at Bolton Abbey.
Youngsters from Bracken Bank and Lawkholme will go for walks and take part in art, sports and environmental activities.
The two days are being organised by staff at the Sue Belcher Community Centre in Bracken Bank as part of its summer holiday programme.
Development worker Alison Robinson this week invited the Sangat Community Centre to send along children from its own planned playscheme.
The days are funded through the lottery's New Opportunities Fund and will involve specialist arts and sports workers from Bradford council.
Mrs Robinson has hired a church hall and a field at Bolton Abbey on August 8 and 15 for the 10am-2pm sessions.
She says: "We wanted to go on trips but not the traditional ones like Blackpool. We didn't want such a long journey, and wanted the youngsters to look at something different.
"Lots of agencies are coming out to do different sorts of stuff: environmental issues, looking at the countryside, sport and of course lots of fun!
"Walking for Health is coming to take children on short walks, getting them used to walking, and gathering natural materials to use for collages."
There will be about 45 children from Bracken Bank, aged from about five to 14, and 25 girls from the Lawkholme area.
