Big-hitting Neil Andrews took scored his fifteenth league century as he helped Bradley to 208 against Pendle Forest.

He scored exactly 100 as Bradley piled on the runs and the lancashire side could only muster 110 in reply as James Heseltine spun his way to the day's best bowling figures of 8-28.

Cowling batted first at Sandylands and struggled to 127-8, Steve Mitchell managing 50. Skipton C.I. knocked off the runs for the loss of six wickets with Shaun Williamson scoring 43no and Martin Seward 34.

Long Lee managed a much-needed win against fellow strugglers Foulridge. The visiting Noyna side were dismissed 85 with Alex Taylor top scoring with 30. Aussie Mick Iles finished with 6-47 and Matt Taylor 4-36. The Keighley side slumped to 9-2 before Paul Stowell and skipper Brian Portlock put together a third wicket stand of 61 before the former was out for 45. Portlock went for 16 at 78 and another wicket fell at 84. Victory soon followed lifting Long Lee clear of the bottom two.

There was a close finish at Haworth where visitors Cullingworth crept home by two wickets. The Bronte side batted first and made 166. Damian Rowell scores 57 as Chris Welch took 4-53. The reply was built around Steve Welch who scored a fine 77 as Jamie Rowell took 4-39.

The battle between the second and third placed teams, Oakworth and Barrowford saw Oaks pick up a 39-run win.

At Booth Bridge Lane, Thornton and Embsay had a dress rehearsal for this Sundays Wynn Cup semi-final. Embsay secured an emphatic win after blasting their way to 233-8. Duncan Ward top scored with 69 to go with good knocks from Jason Waddington and Rob Bateman who both scored 40. Richard Craddock bowled through to finish with 5-97.

Thornton, without some of their senior players due to holidays and injury, were dismissed for 104. Mark Procter being the top scorer with 23 as Mick Cox finished with 5-49.

Sutton are the sole leaders of Division Two after they saw off Airedale and Haworth WE surprisingly went down to Glusburn.

The leaders battled their way to 155 with Paul Hardaker scoring 31 as Giles Wilmore finished with 6-28. The Keighley side then crumpled to 51-9 in reply with Darren Wild taking 5-21 and Justin Holdsworth 4-18.

Meanwhile up at Penistone Hill, the visitors notched up 185-8. Phil Taylor scoring 55 and Craig Watts 40. The Bronte side fell just 13 short with Jason Bilbrough scoring 46 and Andy Parker 32 as Steve Filkin took 5-44.

Ingrow St John's move into second spot following their demolition of Carleton. The visitors were brushed aside for a modest 43 with Chris Walker having the best figures of 4-17. The Saints cantered home by seven wickets.

Cononley scored a surprise victory up at Ingrow. They made 154 with Willie Naylor (57) and Charles Calvert (49) putting on 103 for the second wicket. A Parker finished with 5-24 and followed up with the top score of 36 as his side capitulated for 102. The Town brothers, Andrew and Matthew took 6-62 and 3-32 respectively.

Gargrave also recorded a welcome win at J Nelson's. The scored 165 with Ernie Moorhouse taking full advantage of being dropped early on, to finish with 81. Tony Stafford took 4-32 and M Chad 3-29. League bowling record holder Ray Jones showed he still knows a thing or two about the art as he finished with 7-37 to go with Chris Flood's 3-29 to win by 48 runs. Michael Webb scored 34 for the losers.

Chatburn enjoyed a four-wicket win over visitors Denholme.

There was a shock in store for runaway Division Three leaders Embsay as they crashed to their first defeat of the season at home to Thornton. The visitors were dismissed for 81 but the Shires Lane side were then brushed aside for just 66.

Thornton head three teams on 22 points, now nine behind the leaders. Cullingworth are third, on run rate, after demolishing visitors Haworth. G. Fletcher took 5-26 as the Bronte side was shot out for 48. The home side lost two wickets reaching their target.

Next come Barrowford who had a fine 57-run victory over Oakworth at the Bull Holme. Peter Hakin 73 and 4-35 and John Cant 4-63 being the stars for the winners.

In fifth place are Pendle Forest who entertained Bradley and beat them by 54 runs N Johnson made 57 and Mick Gowling 42 as the Fence side posted 176, Nigel Bibby taking 4-54. The visitors tumbled to defeat despite a knock of 57 from Chris Duffy. Brian Snowden 4-28 and Peter Jones 4-31 were the wicket takers.

Evergreen John Tetley took 7-32 as Long Lee dismissed homesters Glusburn for 77. The successful reply was by the narrow margin of two wickets.

The game at Cowling was not as close as the homeside comprehensively beat Skipton C.I. by 10 wickets. Nigel Carr top scored with 31 as the visitors made 104. Mark Batty (69no) and Vern Rooke (35no) took the Cowling to victory.

Ingrow St John's now enjoy a five point gap at the top of Division Four after they trounced Long Lee III by nine wickets and Chatburn went down heavily to Denholme.

The leaders dismissed the young visitors side for a modest 59 before veteran Dave Unwin made 38no to see the Saints to victory.

Denholme scored the day's second highest score 226-7 at home to Chatburn. A Quirie (94) and P Greenwood (54) put on 168 for the first wicket. A Zulfi took 4-33, which he followed with 54 as the Ribblesdale side tumbled to 97-9.

Airedale move into second spot after a 174 run victory over Sutton. The Keighley side made 220-8 with I Zaman scoring 64 and S Ahmed 62. M Riswan then took 7-20, including a hat-trick, as the South Craveners were dismissed for just 46.

Foulridge just held on for victory at home to Keighley TC. The Red Rose side made a formidable 192-6 with Tony Cocker scoring a fine 112 and Stephen Kegg 32no. The Rose Cottagers made a fine effort but fell 16 short of their target. N Coppack (68) and S Taylor (44) were the main run getters as Tony Bradley took 5-58.

Cononley lost heavily to Ingrow, going down by 9 wickets.

Finally there was a nailbiter at Gargrave, where the home side failed by just one run to complete their second victory of the campaign. Visitors Pendle Forest posted 189-6 with R Fothergill scoring a superb 113. The homesters reply centered mainly around Tom and William Campbell. The former made 41 and the latter 40 as they came agonizingly close.
