Lee Gilmour has promised to take out the frustrations of his nightmare fortnight on his Hull opponents tomorrow night.
The Bulls centre travelled all the way Down Under only to miss out on a place in the 17 for the heavy defeat against Australia.
And travelling also robbed him of a chance to play for his club against Wakefield on the same day.
"I have done a lot of travelling for no rugby," said a tired-looking Gilmour.
"Of course it was a massive disappointment to miss out in Australia and I also missed the win over Wakefield.
"And now I am really tired with this jet lag, I have pretty much just slept since I got back home."
But once he recovers from the travelling he is looking forward to getting back out on the field at the Boulevard.
"Having not played for a while I suppose I am going to be fresh for the game," said the 23-year-old.
"I just want to play rugby again. I will have a little extra in the locker for the Hull game and will be looking to make a big impact."
And Gilmour is determined to find positives from his long-haul adventure.
"Even if I didn't play, it was good to be part of the international set-up," he added.
"It is an honour to represent your country and I am working towards the matches against the Kiwis later in the year."
