BRAMHOPE parents are celebrating after winning the fight to get their children into the school of their choice.
Seven children from Bramhope Primary School refused a place at Otley's Prince Henry's Grammar School will now go to the school after Education Leeds agreed to hold a second appeal.
Now, parents are calling for questions to be asked how Education Leeds handles the whole admission process.
Last week governors at the Farnley Lane school agreed to temporarily raise the school's admission numbers and on Tuesday, the parents were given the good news.
Paul Humphries, whose daughter, Jessica, will now go to Prince Henry's in September, said: "No one can believe it, it's such good news.
"It's been an absolute nightmare over the last four months. People haven't been able to sleep, some have been taking sleeping pills and I'm not sure how much more we could have taken."
Mr Humphries said the group of parents was grateful for the support it had received from people in Bramhope and from Councillor Clive Fox (Con, Otley and Wharfedale).
"Words can't really express how I feel, I'm just so relieved for the kids. At the end of the day the whole thing just got so political, but it was all about children."
