THE biggest day in Pool CC's cricketing history comes on Sunday when they visit Nethermoor Park, Guiseley, for their first ever Waddilove Cup semi-final.
There they will face the battle hardened eight times cup winners and current cup holders who have added experienced Bradford League players Peter Graham and Howard Reeve to their side since last year's final win over Rawdon.
Pool however will be undaunted as they bid for a place in the final at Rawdon on August 11.
Although they are in the lower half of Division B following their promotion from Division C last season Pool have already taken some impressive cup scalps along the way.
In the quarter-finals they saw off North Leeds after setting a target of 205-3. They then bowled out the Division A title chasing Roundhay side for 188.
In the previous round they defeated Harden and had a first round win over Alwoodley.
If Guiseley get to the final it would be their first away cup tie of the season as they have been drawn at home in every round.
The other semi-final will be contested between Division B title chasers Hall Park and Division A reigning champions Bilton.
This game will be at Hall Park where the home side saw off Beckwithshaw in the quarter-finals after making an impressive 232-7.
Hall Park have also been at home in every round, beating Upper Wharfedale, Ben Rhydding and Beckwithshaw along the way.
Bilton had a massive 115 runs win over last season's beaten finalists Rawdon in the quarter-finals.
In the earlier rounds they defeated Kirkstall Educational and Menston.
Bilton are the only club with a chance of a cup double. In the Birtwhistle Cup they entertain Burley while in the other semi-final North Leeds entertain Follifoot.
Bilton reached the semi-finals with victories over Menston, Kirkstall Educational and Steeton.
Burley's path was via wins over Horsforth, Thackley and Upper Wharfedale.
North Leeds reached the semi-finals by defeating Silsden, Bardsey and Otley while Follifoot reached the semi-finals with wins over Ilkley, Addingham, Illingworth and Guiseley.
