Super League leaders Bradford Bulls want to avoid being a fly in a Venus fly-trap at The Boulevard.

"We can't allow ourselves to fall into the 'Jason Smith' trap whereby we focus on him to the detriment of some of the other players," warned Bulls coach Brian Noble.

"He is a fantastic player, but they have some other great players, and we need to be abreast of what they will be doing."

The Great Britain assistant coach added: "In Paul King and Garreth Carvell they have two very hard-working pack members who take them forward, and Richard Horne and Gareth Raynor are on top of their games at the moment.

"Also Craig Greenhill has been playing well for them, and we will have to watch Scott Logan and Sean Ryan."

The Bulls will be missing hooker James Lowes (twisted knee) and stand-off or centre Brandon Costin, who broke a hand in training earlier this week.

On the plus side, the World Club champions have prop Stuart Fielden, second row Jamie Peacock and centre Lee Gilmour back from international duty, and scrum half Paul Deacon has also recovered from the sprung shoulder that kept him out of last Friday's match against Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

"We are going there full of confidence," said Noble. "Hull coach Shaun McRae will have his side fired up, but we have trained very well this week, and we need to play smart and stick to our game-plan."

This won't be the Bulls' last visit to The Boulevard this season. They return for their final regular match of the league season on September 22.

McRae's side are moving to a new ground next season, but Noble said of their current home: "It is a very intimidating place to go - full of passion from the home fans - but it is a fantastic rugby league ground.

"It is our job to go out and play at any ground. We have the 'any field anywhere' mentality, and we will be going there to win, but we know we will have to be at our best to come away with the points."

Hull have named their 17, but there are doubts about Great Britain tourist King (virus) and Logan (sternum injury).
