Brilliant sunshine and blue skies for this year's Cullingworth gala ensured a bumper turnout of visitors.
The procession of a dozen brightly coloured floats amassed outside the Conservative club before processing around the village to the cricket field.
Gala queen Stefanie Smith, 13, who is a pupil at Parkside school, was crowned by last year's queen Emma Baynham. Stefanie was attended by Arianna Zenti, 8, Georgina Wilson, 8, and Abigail Allen, 7, who are all pupils at Cullingworth primary school.
Visitors were entertained throughout the afternoon by the Tenderloin Ragtime Orchestra. Attractions for the younger children included a teddy bears stall and a mini fairground.
There was an extremely creditable display of maypole dancing from pupils at the primary school, followed by the ever-popular children's races.
Organiser Lesley Welch said: "It was an excellent day and people obviously made the most of the sunshine.
"There were a lot more stalls this year, from organisations within the village and from outside, so there was plenty for people to see and do - and they all made an afternoon of it."
Children's races winners were: Under 5s: Jordan Brame, Julie Proctor; Under 6s: William Golder, Daniella Hinchcliffe; Under 8s: Max J Richards, Anesia Mear; Under 10s: Thomas Butterfield, Jessica Mayho; Over 10s: Matthew Waters, Natalie Fellwell. Over 10 sack race: Stephen Bayhem, Michele Ellis. Egg & spoon races: Under 6: Bethany Loma; Over 8: Anesia Mear; Under 10: Otis Brown, Damian Airth.
