The Holy Family School went elastic fantastic for its 15th annual fun night and visitors enjoyed, along with barbecue and bar, dancing displays, stalls and bouncy castles.
But the highlight of the evening was an enormous bungee jump, from which people were invited to throw themselves to raise money for the school.
The jumpers, made up mainly of pupils, numbered about 30 and each one had to collect £40 in sponsorship.
There were also a few older jumpers including Director of Studies Chris Bohills, Head of year 10 Dave Metcalfe and Chairman of Governors John Cunliffe.
Around 2,000 people attended the event, which raised somewhere in the region of £1,500.
Holy Family will use the money raised to improve resources and facilities for young people in the school.
Deputy Head Sean Gilligan said: "It went really well. We were really, really lucky with the weather. It was a beautiful night.
"Previously we have had a donkey derby but this year we thought we would give the donkeys a rest so we did the bungee jumping instead.
"It certainly proved to be a great attraction for the kids."
