A supplier of outdoor children's playground equipment has gained a quality accreditation.
Parkdale Play & Leisure Ltd, which is based in Skipton, gained the ISO9001:2000 quality accreditation which will mean it can use the Kitemark stamp of approval.
The firm received the accolade after major investments in developing its quality management procedures.
The Kitemark stamp means customers can be sure products conform to the European Playground Safety Standard.
Vicky Patchett, marketing director for the firm, said: "We are delighted to gain ISO quality recognition, which could not have been achieved without the support and commitment of all our staff.
"This, together with the Kitemark award, reflects positively on the performance of the business and better equips Parkdale to respond to expansion potential across all market sectors."
Parkdale Play & Leisure has experienced year-on-year growth and diversification since being launched by husband and wife team Richard and Vicky Patchett in 1994.
Richard had previously spent more than ten years in the industry with a leading manufacturer of playground equipment.
Initially working from home, the couple moved the business to its headquarters at The Sidings Business Park in Skipton six years ago.
The firm, which employs 15 people, has expanded into a nationwide operation, with clients including local authorities, parish councils, developers, schools, playgroups and community groups.
The company has completed playground installations in Openshaw Park, Bradford, for Bradford Metropolitan Council, Aireville Park, Skipton, for Craven District Council and in Lotherdale, Sutton and Grassington for the parish councils. It also produces sports equipment and associated products.
