Armed with bucket loads of hair gel, a children's TV crew did their best to create four Gareth Gates clones in the pop idol's former school.
The four lucky 13-year-old boys had their hair styled into the famous two-two-one spike formation for the digital TV show Xchange.
The film crew descended on Dixons City Technology College in Bradford to challenge teams of girls to recreate the pop star's famous look on the unsuspecting models.
Presenter Joe Challands, who joined in by spiking his own hair, said he was impressed by the hairdressing skills of the stylists.
The best re-creation of the chart topper's famous look was judged by Gareth's friend, 19-year-old Heather Riley. Today the film crew were due to spend their final day in Bradford meeting some of the stars from the Bradford Bulls.
And Joe said their three-day visit to Bradford had been a huge success.
"The people in Bradford have been absolutely fantastic during our time here and really keen to take part in everything," he said. Gareth lookalikes, from centre left, Ross Risdan, Matthew Emery, Adam Fox and Jaymin Patel are pictured surrounded by admirers, with presenter Joe Challands at back.
