BURLEY-in-Wharfedale's Rosie Whiting, 18, a member of Bradford Esprit Diving Club, is all set to represent Great Britain at the European Swimming and Diving Champion-ships in Berlin at the end of this month.
On Sunday, July 28, Rosie will compete in the three metre synchronised diving competition with her partner Jane Smith from Sheffield Diving Club.
The girls qualified for the European Champion-ships way back in February when they smashed the British record with a score of 287.37.
Rosie will also be competing as an individual the following Tuesday on the one metre board.
This will be the third time this year that Rosie has represented Great Britain, the other occasions being the FINA Grand Prix in Madrid and Rome.
In Madrid in March, Rosie and Jane took the bronze medals.
In Rome in June Rosie dived with Tandy Gerrard of Leeds City Diving Club and they finished in sixth place.
Shortly after returning from the European Championships, Rosie is planning to take up her diving scholarship at Texas A and M University in America.
There she hopes to continue to improve her diving, and also study Applied Sports Physio-logy.
