Explorer Scouts from the Keighley area took to the water to raise cash for a hospice.
A six-strong crew rowed across Lake Windermere to boost the coffers of St Gemma's, in Leeds.
The team hopes its effort - which covered a route of about ten miles between Ambleside and Bowness - will coin in around £200 once all sponsorship money has been collected. District Explorer Scouts commissioner Derek Wild was joined in the challenge by Long Lee leader Chris Matthews, with wife Tina, and Explorer Scouts Jonathan Binney and Tom Smith, from Haworth, and James Wild, of Long Lee.
Mr Wild said: "With the Explorer Scouts section - which is for 14 to 18-year-olds - it's all about the young people having more input and looking to do something a bit different. It was a very wet day and we were probably out on the lake for about five hours, but they all seemed to enjoy it," he said.
All those completing the challenge received a medal.
