FOUR community groups in Craven have been granted funding totalling almost £14,000.
Skipton Town AFC, Langcliffe Institute, The Dales Theatre Group and Cononley Youth Club have all received funds from the Lottery's Awards for All scheme.
Skipton Town, which provides training and playing opportunities for five football teams, has received £5,000. This will be used for additional drainage to stop the pitch becoming water-logged.
Spokesman Dennis Mayman said: "We are thrilled. It's time for the real work to start and get the field playable for the new season."
Langcliffe Institute will use its £5,000 grant to replace a 103-year-old parquet floor.
Institute secretary Barbara Fiorato said: "The institute was founded in September 1899 so the floor is 103 years old. Some of the blocks are loose which could be potentially dangerous."
An additional £3,000 has been raised through fundraising. Mrs Fiorato said the work would start on August 27 and the Institute would be closed for two weeks.
The Dales Theatre Group secured £2,909 for new portable stage equipment.
Treasurer Graham Scott said: "There are lots of village halls which don't have theatre groups and we want to be able to put on productions in all these areas."
And newly formed Cononley Youth Club was awarded £980.
Spokesman Becky Ward said: "It will enable us to buy table football and a table tennis table. We hope that when the young people return to the youth club in September, there will be much more for them to do."
