Plans to turn the former Park Avenue soccer ground into a sports centre unique in Britain have come from the Bradford Cycling Association. It would cost millions, but there is a good chance of a £2m. Sports Council grant. Representatives of Bradford Metro Council, which owns the dilapidated stadium, are enthusiastic, but want an accurate assessment of the finances before the council comes in officially.
