A teenager fell 25ft on to rocks, smashing both bones in his left calf.
The 15-year-old was rescued by a team of firefighters from Shipley after tumbling down a steep embankment near Crag Road, Windhill, yesterday.
Paramedics arrived at the scene first but could not reach the youth.
Firefighters lowered themselves using line rescue equipment to where the stricken boy had landed. They gave him first aid and pain-relieving drugs.
The youth was taken by ambulance to Bradford Royal Infirmary with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
