Nicky Law today revealed he will be seeking urgent meetings with club bosses so he can bring in fresh faces for the new season.

With Bradford City saved after last-gasp talks yesterday, Law can now begin putting together a team ready for the season kick-off in just nine days time.

He is desperate to sign trialists Paul Evans, Andy Gray and Gus Uhlenbeek after strong performances in City's recent friendlies.

But he knows he will have to lighten the wage bill before any new additions to his side can be made.

But with keeper Aidan Davison missing from last night's 7-0 demolition of non-league Bradford Park Avenue and Eoin Jess' proposed move to Nottingham Forest now expected to be a formality, there could be some room for negotiation.

"I know there will not be a lot of finance at the club this season," said Law after the rain-soaked victory at Horsfall Stadium.

"Back at the club they have probably got a lot more to worry about at the moment than me wanting to sign players, but we will have to sort something out soon.

"I will be hoping to have a meeting with the chairman next week to work out what we can do and what is available.

"I know there are some quality players still out there and I will be looking to bring some in when I know what the options are.

"I have been impressed with Andy, Paul Evans and Gus and we will have to see what we can do."
