A conference in Bradford this weekend will discuss a plan to make the city an important centre for training Islamic missionaries. The conference has been arranged by the World Islamic Mission, whose British centre is in Bradford. It owns a former church in Shearbridge Road, Great Horton.

Now that Bank Holiday week is here, and the start of the National Road Safety Week, all persons using the roads, whether walking, driving or riding, are asked to execise great care. So far this year, ten people have been killed and 525 injured in road accidents in Bradford alone. Road users are asked to remember the four "C"s" of the Highway Code - Care, Courtesy, Consideration and Co-operation.
