Paul Anderson's hopes of a swift return to action have been hit by a virus.
The giant Bulls prop has lost two stone since being knocked down by the chest infection, hitting his rehabilitation after a broken
arm.
'Baloo' has pencilled in the Castleford game on August 23 for his return but a lot will depend on his trip to a specialist tomorrow.
"I had just started training again and was beginning to work my way back to fitness when I picked up this virus," said Anderson, who broke his arm on the head of a Halifax player on May 17.
"It is really frustrating as it will slow down my return. Plus I have lost loads of weight with this virus, I don't think I have been this light since I was five-years-old!"
But despite the injury, the shaven-headed Anderson is still hopeful of a place in the Great Britain squad for the Kiwi tour at the end of the season.
"If things go to plan there will still be five matches to go before the end of the season plus the play-offs," added the player, who had a five-inch metal plate and seven screws inserted by the surgery into his injured left arm.
"I still want to get into the Great Britain squad although my first priority will be fighting my way back into the Bulls team."
Anderson is currently working with sports manufacturer Kooga to develop a protective pad to wear over the injury.
