Avenue boss Trevor Storton branded Scunthorpe a disgrace after violence broke out on the field in a pre-season warm-up game.
United youth team coach Paul Wilson ordered his players off the field after an ugly brawl, a decision Storton described as "diabolical".
The UniBond side lost 1-0 at Horsfall Stadium in a match that will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
United youngster Sean Singh instigated the ugly scenes with a classic leg-breaking studs-up assault on Avenue's Dean Calcutt's in the 33nd minute.
The Avenue winger responded by punching his assailant. This led to a 21-man brawl.
"The way their lads joined in the fighting was a disgrace," said a furious Storton.
"And Wilson's decision to take his players off was diabolical. I don't know who he thinks he is."
Wilson refused to comment.
