A Bradford business is bucking the downward trend in the manufacturing sector with orders for the next 12 months and jobs secured following a management buy-out by its American partner.
CAE Cleaning Technologies, a specialist in water-based cleaning installations for automotive components and the railway industry, is re-launching under a new name - Ransohoff.
The company's future now looks certain with substantial new business already arriving as a result of its Cincinnati-based Ransohoff parent group.
David Holmes, managing director, believes the support he received from Business Link adviser Heather Pink was crucial in making his company an attractive proposition to the US buyer:
He said: "Through Business Link we've given the company a more professional edge which has sharpened our management systems and presentation.
"They've also helped us to invest in 3D design and virtual reality capability so that we've become more inventive and responsive to customer needs.
"Our achievement of Investors in People has been a particular asset because it's ensured that we have the total involvement and commitment of our team and all our workers see themselves as partners in the business. I think this was a crucial factor in Ransohoff's decision to bring us into the group.
"The management buy-out has given us a fresh start and the security and resources of being part of a $30 million global operation.
"We're now very busy with 12 months' work in hand and the future of the business looks much more positive."
