Two men were killed last night in road accidents in Bradford and Gomersal.
Police are still trying to identify a pedestrian who suffered fatal injuries in an accident with an F-registered Mercedes 190 saloon car in New Otley Road, Bradford, at 10pm.
The man, aged between 40 and 50, was struck by the car which was travelling towards Barkerend Road as he crossed the road. He died later at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
Police have appealed for witnesses to call 0845 6060606 and ask for Bradford South Road Traffic Police.
The second accident happened at 10.15pm at Oxford Road, in Gomersal, near to the junction with Castle Hill Road when a green Citroen Saxo and a black Vauxhall Corsa, were in collision.
The Saxo spun out of control and hit a garden wall and a telegraph pole. Its driver, a 21-year-old Liversedge man, was taken to Dewsbury District Hospital where he died.
Police are still trying to trace the relatives of the man, who has not yet been named. Officers have appealed for witnesses to contact Dewsbury Road Traffic Police, on (01924) 421047 or (01924) 421046.
